The Volunteer Services Manager reports to the Executive Director.
OVERVIEW OF THE POSITION:
This position has oversight responsibility for the recruitment, recognition, and retention of CAM’s Volunteer staff, including community service volunteers.
Manage the recruitment, recognition and retention of volunteers. Coordinate CAM Tours and volunteer orientations. Coordinate appropriate training of volunteers in different areas. Manage volunteer opportunities for both groups and individuals. Responsible for accurate tracking and reporting of volunteer hours. Maintain a climate of respect and compassion. Plan and execute volunteer recognition activities.
Provide scheduling and guidance for Community Service volunteers and maintain appropriate communication with Harris County. Report community service hours as requested by Harris County and volunteers, providing documentation as needed.
Participate fully in CAM’s Management Team, helping to lead the organization into the future.
Experience in non-profit volunteer administration/management required. Demonstrated success in administering/managing volunteer programs.
Ability to function as part of a team is required. Ability to speak in public required. Ability to be personable and have pleasant, friendly and positive interactions is a must. Creativity in recruitment and retention plans is critical. Excellent verbal & written skills required. Superb organizational skills a must.
Bachelors’ Degree preferred but not required. Relevant experience in non-profit management may be substituted for a degree.
Valid Texas Drivers’ License – Class C, and good driving record required.
Weekly hours required for this position: 40
Salary Range for this Position: $26,000 – $32,000 annually
